Balsansad Concept Clarification 6th to 23rd June 2018

Manori CSA with the help of CCO staff had a concept clarity session on Bal Sansad at Uttan, Dongri, Pali, Manori, Chowk and Gorai to form new batches for the current academic year 2018-19. These sessions took place from the 6 th  to the 13 th  of June 2018 and 12 - 40 children from various zones participated. Through different games and group activities they discussed the basics of the concept and the expected duties and responsibilities. The resource person interacted with the children and explained that by joining a Bal Sansad they would have opportunities to participate in various activities and through that develop their personality, improve communication skills, respect the view of others, build a sense of responsibility, enhance their general knowledge, etc. Further, the children were asked to suggest the activities that they wanted to be included in the sessions. Exposure visit to Big Bazar, Bhayander 22.05.2018

CSA with its networking partner has organized a course on Retail Associate Training for the youth at Dongri. It is a 2-month course which covers modules on Personality Development, Spoken English and Retail Management. As a part of this course, twenty-eight youth headed for an exposure visit to Big Bazaar, Bhayander on 22 nd  May 2018. The domain teacher of retail marketing, Mr. Siddhesh Sarvekar introduced them to different segments of the store such as electronics, grocery, cosmetics etc. to get an in-depth knowledge of its functioning. They got an idea of displaying products, price tags, discounts etc. The exposure visit and practical learning has tremendously helped their theoretical understanding.

Advance Candle Making Session At Umed

An exposure visit on candle making to Umed Organisation at Vasai as a part of the income generation program was conducted on the 27 th January 2018. Umed is an organization designed especially for the empowerment of Differently Abled persons and through guidance, the children themselves generate income source for their families. Mr. Rajesh Pereira the resource person for the program explained the different types and shapes of moulds which are used for making candles as well information on raw materials required in the process. He also gave a demo of the same. The exposure visit gave the group an opportunity to come together as a group and enhance their creativity and talents through innovative techniques in candle making. Towards the end of the programme, the 6 people who participated in the programme learnt the method to use wax formula and are keen on making candles for an income.
