CC monthly meeting report- Annual Review 14.06.2018

On 14 th June 2018 the Annual Review meeting was held at Pali for the Core Committee and subcommittee members. The CC members shared the positive experience of CCO work and shared their learnings after being a part of the CC. they evaluated the activities of the three subcommittees and its follow up which are as follows: Ø   Irregular water supply : ü   Signature campaign was taken for a regular supply of water. ü   4 common wells were cleaned & Follow up was taken with the MBMC ü   Bore well   follow up is going on with the Assistant Mayor of   MBMC ü   Ward no- 2 common water broken pipeline repairing will be starting soon. ü   CC visit to MBMC will be done in the month of June 2018. Combined report on Follow up of ration issue at Pali June 2018

On the 4 th and 11 th of June 2018 a rationing officer, two sub inspectors and one secretary paid verification visit to the needy card holders whose application had been submitted in month of March 2018 to the ration office at Bhayander. They came to the ward at Pali, and met the 36 card holders’ houses and verified that all of them were eligible for the BPL stamp. They asked the cardholders to enroll the Aadhar numbers for completing the process. A total of 126 application forms were collected for BPL stamps out of which 120 application were verified along with ration card & are in process of Aadhar link (Biometric System). They have assured the CC and the SC members present, to give 120 card holders the BPL stamp by the end of July 2018.

Shortlisting form for BPL stamp for most desrving card holders On 14 th May 2018, a visit to the ration office was held at Bhayander. CCO staff member and 4 CC members were present. The objective of selecting the remaining 47 forms for most deserving card holders to avail the Below Poverty Line (BPL) stamp and to get cooperation from the ration officers to solve the ration issue for the most needful beneficiaries at Pali Village was to be fulfilled.   CCO staff & CC member in ration shop The people below the poverty line lack access to many facilities as well as basic needs, most importantly food. The ration officers had decided to give 120 beneficiaries the BPL stamp. This will help them gain certain basic provisions provided by the government. Bal Sansad’s Awareness Rally at Pali on Three Main Issues 27.04.2018

Skit on the three issues The CCO staffs along with the Bal Sansad organized an awareness rally on the 27 th April 2018. The summer camp children from std. 1 st to 10 th participated to create awareness on three main issues of Pali village. Around 203 children participated in the rally that marched on to all the 9 wards of the village. In the procession awareness slogans were raised, the banners and posters were also displayed at few places. Three short skits on the main issues of cleanliness & health, irregular water supply and lack of information on ration issues were performed. The skits on these issues helped to mobilize and create awareness once again by the children.  The participants from the youth volunteers (23 in all) were admirable. Report of CC Monthly Meeting 11.04.2018

The monthly meeting of the core committee (CC) at Pali was held on 11 th April 2018. Twenty nine members attended this meeting. The agenda and planning for future activities was discussed. The CC members gladly mentioned they could understand the concept of fundraising more clearly after their visit to Gorai and Chowk and have learnt to face struggles and oppositions firmly and courageously. The meeting included a follow up on the 3 main issues such as water, cleanliness, and ration and a discussion on wall painting in order to create awareness on the issues.   The follow up on the water issues is in process with the M.B.M.C authority for building new bore-well and cleaning the well. They promised to get 2 government wells cleaned by the mid of May and build a bore well at the compound nearby for public use by the end of May. The cleanliness issue is in process with the Local Corporators for fixing two broken pipe lines in ward no. 2 & 4, and broken roads in ward no.2,...

Follow Up Report On Rationing Issue 20.04.2018

At ration office Submitting forms to rationkruti   The CC (core committee) & SC (subcommittee) members along with the CCO staffs visited the ration office at Bhayander to submit their forms for the ration issue. On 20th March four members of the CC had a brief discussion with the ration officer on the issues they faced. The officer promised them of permitting the BPL (below poverty line) stamps for 100 card holders. The CCO staffs gave some of the members the responsibility of preparing a list of approximately 15 card holders from each ward who needs the BPL stamp on their ration cards.   The last day for the submission of the list of 100 names was declared to be 18th April 2018. With this the people are now aware of 60% of their rights of Food Security Act 2013.

The Core committee monthly meeting facilitated by CSA was held at Pali on 7 th Feb 2018 with 19 CC members & CCO present. The main objective was to plan, decide and allot responsibilities for women’s day, evaluate on three issues with the 3 subcommittees and allot responsibilities among CC members for ration camp. The meeting began with reading the previous minutes report and the agenda was discussed in detail with the CC members. 8 th March was decided as the day to celebrate women’s day. The theme chosen was based on the three main issues of Pali village in East Indian language namely “Dur karavachya Han aaplya gavachya adchani, pahilya ghetlyan smasysa ration, aarogya aani Pani”. Seminar On Rationing Issue For The Head Of The Families, Pali 16.12.2017

  The lack of information ration subcommittee along with CC members organized an informative seminar on ration issue which was held on 16 th Dec. 2017 at Church hall Pali. A total of 87 head of the families participated in the meeting in order to solve their rationing issues. The main objective of the session was to provide information on food security act and to make people realize the strength in unity while dealing with issues. The resource person for the session was Mrs. Taruna Kumbhar, member of the Rationing Kruti Samiti(RKS), works on issues related to the Public distribution system and Food Security. Lack of Information Committee Action report on Rationing issue 9.10.2017

On 9 th October 2017, the Lack of Information Committee held a follow up meeting along with 9 members discussing on two main subjects in relation to the issue of ration at Church Hall Pali. The first subject was behavioral attitude of Pali ration shopkeeper towards the women. And the second subject was to file a complaint letter to the superior about the shopkeeper for not following certain rules of rationing like mentioning the prices of basic ration commodities on display. Two Subcommittee members volunteered to draft the complaint letter. The members discussed the issue with the Chowk Ration office bearers. The official promised the subcommittee members that he would look upon the concern matter personally, visit the ration shop at Pali and reply back in 15 days. The meeting helped the people gain confidence in expressing their community issues and find a solution too.
