Exposure visit to Big Bazar, Bhayander 22.05.2018


CSA with its networking partner has organized a course on Retail Associate Training for the youth at Dongri. It is a 2-month course which covers modules on Personality Development, Spoken English and Retail Management. As a part of this course, twenty-eight youth headed for an exposure visit to Big Bazaar, Bhayander on 22nd May 2018. The domain teacher of retail marketing, Mr. Siddhesh Sarvekar introduced them to different segments of the store such as electronics, grocery, cosmetics etc. to get an in-depth knowledge of its functioning. They got an idea of displaying products, price tags, discounts etc. The exposure visit and practical learning has tremendously helped their theoretical understanding.

Core Committee and Sub leaders Meeting - Uttan 15th Sep 2017

On 15 th Sep 2017, 28 members assembled at Durado Hall Uttan for the Core Committee and sub leaders meeting. In the previous month’s meeting leaders were appointed, and as per the responsibilities allotted all completed their work. The meeting was facilitated by the leader of the Core Committee.  Various issues which were already listed in family group meetings were presented by the leaders at the session. In all there were 29 issues out of which three main issues were prioritized like Low fish rates, Stray Dogs and high expenses during celebrations. Based on this, three subcommittees were formed and leaders were assigned. They decided to meet again next week for work to progress quickly. There was an active and healthy participation from members. The group showed interest in taking responsibilities and were happy to work on the issues.

Orientation on Livelihood Opportunities 28th July 2017

Exploring the possibilities of Livelihood with those who were eager to pursue and make their current livelihoods productive was the objective of the "Orientation on Livelihood Opportunities" Meeting planned by the Pali CCO.   On the 28th July three out of the eight members of the Livelihood group came for the first meeting.  Mr. Dayanand Patil from CSA asked the three participants the origin and history of their current livelihood. They expressed their tasks which were the routine activities. He then went on to share and orient them on the value and impact of Marketing on their current businesses. All the three participants expressed their desire to obtain more information and work at the process to enhance their current livelihoods and make it successful.  Since all the three participants have shown a keen interest to take their current livelihoods further. Pali Bal Sansad elects the Council of Ministers

The Pali Bal Sansad Group (36 children) met on the 25th August, 2017 at the CCO from 10.30am to 12 noon with the purpose of giving a name for their Bal Sansad Group, to choose the Council of Ministers and explain the duties and responsibilities of the various Ministries and the Ministers who would be responsible.  Ms. Carol began the meeting with a short prayer and welcomed the participants. Sr. Nisha explained the objectives of the meeting. Then she asked the children to suggest an attractive  name for the Balsansad. Few names were suggested by them but the more inspiring name was “Hope Children’s Group ” decided by the children.
