Farmers Interaction with District Agriculture Officers, Kalyan 01.06.2018

The district agriculture department has been organizing the Unnat Sheti Abhiyan (progressive farming campaign) from May 25 to June 8, 2018 to create awareness on various government schemes available for farmers.   With this mind CSA’s networking partner Prerna Dongri conducted a farmer’s interaction session on 1 st June 2018 for the 19 Tarodi farmers with the District Agriculture Officers, Kalyan department. Besides these the other objectives of the session was to provide in depth knowledge in agriculture fields and its linkages with governance systems.   The resource persons were Mr.   P. M. Exposure visit to Pali by Para Professional Social Workers. 17.05.2018

On 17 th May 2018, 7 Para professional social workers from Nirmala Niketan visited CSA’s networking partner Sahajeevan Social Centre   Pali. The objectives to this exposure visit was to give a historical background about the Centre, to orient the objectives and goals of Pali CCO, to share the administrative hierarchy, various activities and programmes, to share the difficulties and barriers, to explain the strategies and skills used for implementing activities and the role of a social worker. An interactive session was held where discussions on health issues, irregularity in water supply, uncleanliness and lack of information on rationing issues were carried on by the core committee members. At the end of the interaction our social worker described the role of social worker. Career guidance for youth at Manthanpada (Manori) 02.04.2018

On 2 nd April 2018, at Manthanpada in Manori, 9 youth attended the session on career guidance. The session was started interacting with the youths. They were asked what did they dream of becoming in their life? Many responded that they wanted to be nurses, some even said teachers and so on. Mr. Dayanand, CSA staff and resource person then gave brief information on various courses like teaching, nursing, fine arts, banking courses, account courses etc. which could be taken up after completing Std 10 th and 12 th . This brought a sigh of relief to the troubled and confused youth.   He also guided them with the criteria for the courses and shared the salary range they can expect. The session helped them rethink their career choices and expressed their need for further guidance from the CSA & CCO staffs. Std. 10 th is the foundation of every youth to make a wise choice for a better tomorrow.

Bal Sansad’s Input & Interaction session with Nagar Sevika & Police 25.10.2017

On 25 th October 2017, a session on information about the police and interaction with the Nagar Sevika was held at Church Hall for thirty-one balsansad children at Chowk. The Nagar Sevika  shared and explained her role and areas of work. Children happily interviewed and spoke freely with her. She was impressed at the keenness with which the many questions were asked. She advised the Balsansad to study hard and told some even had great chances of becoming a future Nagar Sevak / Sevika. The children were very excited. The second session was taken by the Police who explained to them about various weapons used by the policemen to train cops. He introduced the children to various services being provided by the police station for the fisher folks and how they could access these services.
