Programme Report On Cleanliness Drive At Pali 2.10.2017


The main objective of the program was to organize a cleanliness drives, to link National Level Cleanliness Campaign and create awareness among the people. On 30th September 2017 the Balsansad group of children created an awareness rally in collaboration with CC & Ward sub leaders. According to the plan of action as discussed by the Cleanliness committee to organize a cleanliness drive, on 2nd October 2017 all the 9 wards, assembled at 8.30 am in Pali with 200 villagers to begin the drive in their respected areas.

The nine wards initially were dirty and filthy but soon after the drive, the place looks much neat and clean. The mindsets of people has changed positively and they now take personal initiatives to keep the areas clean. The Municipal Corporation of Mira- Bhayander has provided two Vehicles and staffs to collect the garbage. Thanks to the CC & Sub leaders of the ward for  leadership & ownership. They actively continue to monitor and remind the local people time keep their houses and neighborhoods clean.

Request For Repairing And Building New Drainages At Chowk 23.11.2017

Fourteen subcommittee members assembled for a meeting at Chowk on the 23 rd November 2017  for repairs of drainages and a request to build new drainages. The objective of the meeting was to sort out these issue with the help of the people. Information of all the drainages in the village was collected to get a clear picture of the problem. Some drainages were left open while in some water was being wasted. The water from such drainages would run through the main road due to which people would   find it difficult to walk. Few drainages were filled with waste while others kept on leaking. An application was written to the official requesting them to repair and build some new drainages in the village. The work has begun and is already in progress in the zones 2-B and 7 along with zone debris being carried away. There has also been a gathering at the village to create awareness on cleanliness. The result of which is 2 nd October would be observed as ‘Cleaning Day’.

21st Sept,2017-Bal Sansad Session-Food Security Act

On 21 st Sep, 2017, between 10.30 am to 12.30 pm the Bal Sansad Session for Food Security Act started with the Bal Sansad prayer, at the Gorai Church Hall addressing a group of 45 children. Ms. Nasim the speaker for the session welcomed everyone, followed by ice breakers games. The children were divided into 4 groups where they had to introduce themselves, and each child was given a different type of chocolate. Subsequently, Ms. Nasim questioned them about their Basic needs & Rights, who fulfilled their needs and who is responsible for it. Children gave various answers for these question. Following which Ms. Nasim explained them the importance of food for our body. Input & Interaction Session On Indian Constitution 23.11.2017

The input session on the Indian Constitution and its importance was held at Church Hall, Pali on the 23 rd of November 2017 for 41 Bal Sansad children. The resource people for the session were CCO staffs Sr. Nisha, Ms. Carol and CSA staff Ms. Rasika. The session began with an ice breaker game. An introduction and basic information on the Preamble of the Indian Constitution was shared. Furthermore, the topic on election & representation was explained in a simple manner with adequate knowledge of who and where one can vote, what is the democracy procedure to elect a good responsible and sincere candidate. An interaction session was held with a set of questions being asked and exercises were given in order to help the children remember the important terms in the Preamble and ensure they understood the subject matter.
