On third day of Diwali camp as per discussed by Balsansad children we had the rally from Tarodi to Dongri. Total 150 Children along with Core Committee members participated in the rally.  The purpose behind the rally to create awareness among the people related Health and cleanliness.  Children themselves took the responsibility to prepare the posters and the slogans base on the theme of rally.

Core Committee and Sub leaders Meeting - Uttan 15th Sep 2017

On 15 th Sep 2017, 28 members assembled at Durado Hall Uttan for the Core Committee and sub leaders meeting. In the previous month’s meeting leaders were appointed, and as per the responsibilities allotted all completed their work. The meeting was facilitated by the leader of the Core Committee.  Various issues which were already listed in family group meetings were presented by the leaders at the session. In all there were 29 issues out of which three main issues were prioritized like Low fish rates, Stray Dogs and high expenses during celebrations. Based on this, three subcommittees were formed and leaders were assigned. They decided to meet again next week for work to progress quickly. There was an active and healthy participation from members. The group showed interest in taking responsibilities and were happy to work on the issues.

Pali Bal Sansad elects the Council of Ministers

The Pali Bal Sansad Group (36 children) met on the 25th August, 2017 at the CCO from 10.30am to 12 noon with the purpose of giving a name for their Bal Sansad Group, to choose the Council of Ministers and explain the duties and responsibilities of the various Ministries and the Ministers who would be responsible.  Ms. Carol began the meeting with a short prayer and welcomed the participants. Sr. Nisha explained the objectives of the meeting. Then she asked the children to suggest an attractive  name for the Balsansad. Few names were suggested by them but the more inspiring name was “Hope Children’s Group ” decided by the children. Manori Balsansad Camp - 23rd to 25th October 2017

  A three-day Diwali camp was held at Manori Church Hall for 50 Balsansad children with sessions on Child Rights, Leadership Qualities and significance of the Preamble to the Constitution from 23rd October 2017 to 25th October 2017 under the guidance of CSA. The session began with a short prayer led by Sr.Nisha(CCO) thereafter welcoming the participants. A documentary of the National Award Winning short film on Child Sexual Abuse ‘KOMAL’ and  ‘Khushi’ based on Child Safety was shown. Based on the movie a question and answer session was held in terms of what did the kid understand and how awareness should be created for other children. Through this session, the children learnt the different aspects of Right to Protection, memorized helpline numbers and to whom should first-hand information be provided.
