Youth Meeting Report At Pali For Street Play On Prioritized Issue 23.11.2017

The three main issue at Pali are Health & Uncleanliness, lack of information on rationing and irregular water supply. On 23rd November 2017 at Church New Hall Pali a meeting was arranged with 26 youth to explain the concept of the project, involve the youth in creating awareness through street plays and guide them on the prioritized issues. The subcommittee member Mr. Rajesh Patil explained how these issues pertains to the present situation, the effect it can have in future

and the measures as responsible individuals each must take for a positive result.

CSA staff, Mr. Dayanand also the resource person explained in brief the Project Concept of Centre for Social Action and gave an introduction to Sahajeevan Social Centre. He guided the youth to present the play in a simple yet noteworthy manner. The youth decided to begin  practice every day from 24th November at 8.30pm, and the CCO staff Sr. Nisha would attend the practice sessions, guide them wherever necessary and also evaluate the same.

It was decided that the street play would be presented to all the nine wards by the youth beginning from December 4th to 15th.The involvement of the youth in spreading awareness across the wards of Pali has made the action plan a success.

Request For Repairing And Building New Drainages At Chowk 23.11.2017

Fourteen subcommittee members assembled for a meeting at Chowk on the 23 rd November 2017  for repairs of drainages and a request to build new drainages. The objective of the meeting was to sort out these issue with the help of the people. Information of all the drainages in the village was collected to get a clear picture of the problem. Some drainages were left open while in some water was being wasted. The water from such drainages would run through the main road due to which people would   find it difficult to walk. Few drainages were filled with waste while others kept on leaking. An application was written to the official requesting them to repair and build some new drainages in the village. The work has begun and is already in progress in the zones 2-B and 7 along with zone debris being carried away. There has also been a gathering at the village to create awareness on cleanliness. The result of which is 2 nd October would be observed as ‘Cleaning Day’.

21st Sept,2017-Bal Sansad Session-Food Security Act

On 21 st Sep, 2017, between 10.30 am to 12.30 pm the Bal Sansad Session for Food Security Act started with the Bal Sansad prayer, at the Gorai Church Hall addressing a group of 45 children. Ms. Nasim the speaker for the session welcomed everyone, followed by ice breakers games. The children were divided into 4 groups where they had to introduce themselves, and each child was given a different type of chocolate. Subsequently, Ms. Nasim questioned them about their Basic needs & Rights, who fulfilled their needs and who is responsible for it. Children gave various answers for these question. Following which Ms. Nasim explained them the importance of food for our body. Input & Interaction Session On Indian Constitution 23.11.2017

The input session on the Indian Constitution and its importance was held at Church Hall, Pali on the 23 rd of November 2017 for 41 Bal Sansad children. The resource people for the session were CCO staffs Sr. Nisha, Ms. Carol and CSA staff Ms. Rasika. The session began with an ice breaker game. An introduction and basic information on the Preamble of the Indian Constitution was shared. Furthermore, the topic on election & representation was explained in a simple manner with adequate knowledge of who and where one can vote, what is the democracy procedure to elect a good responsible and sincere candidate. An interaction session was held with a set of questions being asked and exercises were given in order to help the children remember the important terms in the Preamble and ensure they understood the subject matter.
