Solving the Issue Of Septic Tank At Ward 4 Of Uttan



The neighboring families of Ward no.4 Uttan were affected by the open and small septic tank which kept on overflowing. The (Core committee members) CC members of the ward took an initiative and had an emergency meeting with the Uncleanliness subcommittee on 2nd Dec. 2017. 

In the meeting it was decided that they would bring it to the notice of the Mira Bhayander Municipal Corporation officer the Nagar Sevaks, and write a letter of complaint about the open septic tank, which was clearly unhygienic for all. They also discussed on the need to demolish the old septic tank and build a new bigger tank, because the capacity of the old septic tank was less and the residents were large in number. 

On 5th Dec. 2017 two CC members and two subcommittee members took the appointment of the Nagar Sevak and submitted the letter. After four days on 9th Dec. 2017 two of the Nagar Sevaks visited the locality and decided to call the engineers, show the place and build a new septic tank. This brought great relief to the people.

Pali Bal Sansad - "Hope" taking initiatives in Planning

“Hope”, the Children’s Balsansad meeting was held on 26 th Aug. 2017 at 11 am. The meeting began with a short prayer by Ms. Carol who then welcomed the participants. The secretary of Children’s group read the previous meeting report which was accepted and agreed by all. Sr. Nisha appreciated her for writing the report briefly in which all agenda points were in the report. Sr. Nisha started the session with an example on the topic of good manners and discipline in a story form. Children have understood well. The moral of the story was that each person’s behavior and personality is on good manners showing respect for the elders, teachers, and parents and also own classmate. A well-disciplined life will help to facilitate communication with others; they allow you to get much more than by using authority. Subcommittee Interaction with Public Representative on Uncleanliness and water issue

On 5 th Jan 2018 a meeting was held at Manori between the subcommittee members and the public representative Mr Morris Kinny to discuss issues on lack of dustbin facility and drinking water faced by the villagers of Manthanpada. The subcommittee presented their plan before the public representative, interacting and sharing their problems. Over the years gone by the villagers did not receive dustbins form the BMC. The villagers also needed new pipelines for drinking water. Since the existing pipelines were small and old the speed of water was also slow. The PR heard the whole issue attentively and showed great interest in helping the members solve the matter. He immediately asked the subcommittee to list down the common spots to place the dustbins. Within 2 days with the help of the public representative the dustbins were provided.
