Balsansad Concept Clarification 6th to 23rd June 2018

Manori CSA with the help of CCO staff had a concept clarity session on Bal Sansad at Uttan, Dongri, Pali, Manori, Chowk and Gorai to form new batches for the current academic year 2018-19. These sessions took place from the 6 th  to the 13 th  of June 2018 and 12 - 40 children from various zones participated. Through different games and group activities they discussed the basics of the concept and the expected duties and responsibilities. The resource person interacted with the children and explained that by joining a Bal Sansad they would have opportunities to participate in various activities and through that develop their personality, improve communication skills, respect the view of others, build a sense of responsibility, enhance their general knowledge, etc. Further, the children were asked to suggest the activities that they wanted to be included in the sessions. CC monthly meeting report- Annual Review 14.06.2018

On 14 th June 2018 the Annual Review meeting was held at Pali for the Core Committee and subcommittee members. The CC members shared the positive experience of CCO work and shared their learnings after being a part of the CC. they evaluated the activities of the three subcommittees and its follow up which are as follows: Ø   Irregular water supply : ü   Signature campaign was taken for a regular supply of water. ü   4 common wells were cleaned & Follow up was taken with the MBMC ü   Bore well   follow up is going on with the Assistant Mayor of   MBMC ü   Ward no- 2 common water broken pipeline repairing will be starting soon. ü   CC visit to MBMC will be done in the month of June 2018. Awareness Rally at Uttan 14.06.2018

  In order to spread awareness on the importance of protecting the environment, avoiding high expenses during celebrations and selling dry fishes on credit, 60 children at Uttan led a rally on 14 th June 2018. Children prepared motivating slogans such as paryavaranacha samtol rakhu,shudh hava, pani chakhu (Balance the environment for clean air & water), Udari masli deu naka,Dokyana santap geu naka (Avoid selling in credits avoid tension), Sohalyana karch karu naka,karjabajari hou naka (Avoid high expenditures avoid loans), and many more.  

Session On Basic Cooking for Domestic Workers 15.06.2018

CSA’s networking partner Savdhan Social Centre organised a session on basic cooking for domestic workers on 14 th June 2018 at Manori. The session focused on preparing nutritious, delicious and time saving meal. The resource person Mr. Anirudha Vaidya is a highly experienced chef at a private hotel. He taught two recipes namely moong salad and white sauce in a very simple way and showed the preparing techniques and ingredients required. The ten domestic workers who attended the sessions were excited to learn new recipes from a chef himself and the method of serving food to guests.

BMC Visit For Form Submission 14.06.2018

After the Cleanliness drive held at Manthanpada village, Manori, the Core Committee (CC) and the women’s took leadership to fill the application forms at Manthanpada for accessing the new toilet facility at every house. On 14 th June 2018 2 CCO staffs and 13 CC members visited the Solid Waste Department, P North Ward, Malad to submit applications. A total of 15 applications were submitted to the BMC office at Solid Waste Department. The BMC office bearers sorted the forms, in which they verified the required documents such as Pan Card, Aadhar card, pass book Xerox and one pass port size photo. The BMC officer gave a following week’s appointment as well as informed everyone to submit their application forms to a concerned person at the BMC Maintenance Department for a next step verification. Three Common Wells Clean Up At Pali May 2018

CC & SC members monitoring Cleaning Well Garbage collected from the Well   The subcommittee members of Uncleanliness and health issue had earlier discussed in their monthly meeting on cleaning up the common wells. The application with public signatures had been submitted in month of January 2018 and the follow up was in process. On 7 th , 8 th & 13 th May 2018, three wells were cleaned through electric machines by the water department workers from M.B.M.C. Three Core Committee & two Subcommittee members voluntarily took turn in monitoring on all the above dates. The cleaning up of common wells wasn’t done for many years before at Pali village. All the materials for cleaning up the wells was provided by the MBMC water department and the garbage were also picked up by the vehicles. Combined report on Follow up of ration issue at Pali June 2018

On the 4 th and 11 th of June 2018 a rationing officer, two sub inspectors and one secretary paid verification visit to the needy card holders whose application had been submitted in month of March 2018 to the ration office at Bhayander. They came to the ward at Pali, and met the 36 card holders’ houses and verified that all of them were eligible for the BPL stamp. They asked the cardholders to enroll the Aadhar numbers for completing the process. A total of 126 application forms were collected for BPL stamps out of which 120 application were verified along with ration card & are in process of Aadhar link (Biometric System). They have assured the CC and the SC members present, to give 120 card holders the BPL stamp by the end of July 2018.

Formation Of Neighborhood Bal Sansad In Ward No. 1 & 2 - 02nd June 2018

The CCO staffs personally visited ward no. 1 at Pali to explain parents the purpose of forming a Bal Sansad and asked them to send their children to join the Bal Sansad group. The CCO staff listed 15 children’s name and invited them for an orientation on the formation of the new neighborhood Bal Sansad. They then proceeded to visit ward no. 2. Here the parents cooperated and permitted 13 children to attend the orientation. The orientation began with the CCO staff welcoming the children with words of encouragement on 2 nd June 2018. She introduced each child. After which she explained the purpose and goals of forming new neighborhood Bal Sansad. The newly formed Bal Sansad was named “ Angel Bal Sansad group” by the majority. The President, vice President, secretary, secretary, treasurer and vice treasurer for piggy bank were appointed by the majority. Farmers Interaction with District Agriculture Officers, Kalyan 01.06.2018

The district agriculture department has been organizing the Unnat Sheti Abhiyan (progressive farming campaign) from May 25 to June 8, 2018 to create awareness on various government schemes available for farmers.   With this mind CSA’s networking partner Prerna Dongri conducted a farmer’s interaction session on 1 st June 2018 for the 19 Tarodi farmers with the District Agriculture Officers, Kalyan department. Besides these the other objectives of the session was to provide in depth knowledge in agriculture fields and its linkages with governance systems.   The resource persons were Mr.   P. M.
