CC monthly meeting report- Annual Review 14.06.2018


On 14th June 2018 the Annual Review meeting was held at Pali for the Core Committee and subcommittee members. The CC members shared the positive experience of CCO work and shared their learnings after being a part of the CC. they evaluated the activities of the three subcommittees and its follow up which are as follows:
Ø  Irregular water supply :
ü  Signature campaign was taken for a regular supply of water.
ü  4 common wells were cleaned & Follow up was taken with the MBMC
ü  Bore well  follow up is going on with the Assistant Mayor of  MBMC
ü  Ward no- 2 common water broken pipeline repairing will be starting soon.
ü  CC visit to MBMC will be done in the month of June 2018. The date is to be finalized.
ü  Subcommittee meeting for water irregularity issue will be held on 22nd June 2018.

Ø  Uncleanliness subcommittee :
ü  Regular monitoring and follow up was done with MBMC‘s Pest control department.
ü  Awareness rally, skit play, short inputs and posters has been displayed (Three issues) at ward level.
ü  Cleanliness drive organized with people participation.
ü  Subcommittee meeting for cleanliness will be on  21st June 2018

Ø   Lack of information- Rationing :
ü  Information related to the ration issue was collected at grass root level and there have been interactions with Ration office bearers.
ü  An RTI filled on rationing issue.
ü  A meeting with the Rationing Kruti Samitee was held and three types of ration forms filled & submitted by the people as per their need. A Follow up with Ration office is in process.
ü  BPL(Below poverty line) stamp to be collected from Bhayander ration office for 126 card holders is in process.
ü  185 Ration card holders have been enrolled in Biometric system.
ü  Ration banners will be displayed in public place.
ü  CC will take the follow up with the CCO directors.

Ø  Walls will be painted in the month of June 2018 to create awareness on the three issues. The CC has identified four common places to write slogan etc.

Ø   Livelihood for Vocational Training in Retail Marketing: CC has taken the responsibilities to find more candidates to enroll for the vocational course.
The three subcommittees reviewed the activities as per the micro plan. CC has brought changes in solving the issues at ward level with an idea for empowerment approach.

Request For Repairing And Building New Drainages At Chowk 23.11.2017

Fourteen subcommittee members assembled for a meeting at Chowk on the 23 rd November 2017  for repairs of drainages and a request to build new drainages. The objective of the meeting was to sort out these issue with the help of the people. Information of all the drainages in the village was collected to get a clear picture of the problem. Some drainages were left open while in some water was being wasted. The water from such drainages would run through the main road due to which people would   find it difficult to walk. Few drainages were filled with waste while others kept on leaking. An application was written to the official requesting them to repair and build some new drainages in the village. The work has begun and is already in progress in the zones 2-B and 7 along with zone debris being carried away. There has also been a gathering at the village to create awareness on cleanliness. The result of which is 2 nd October would be observed as ‘Cleaning Day’.

21st Sept,2017-Bal Sansad Session-Food Security Act

On 21 st Sep, 2017, between 10.30 am to 12.30 pm the Bal Sansad Session for Food Security Act started with the Bal Sansad prayer, at the Gorai Church Hall addressing a group of 45 children. Ms. Nasim the speaker for the session welcomed everyone, followed by ice breakers games. The children were divided into 4 groups where they had to introduce themselves, and each child was given a different type of chocolate. Subsequently, Ms. Nasim questioned them about their Basic needs & Rights, who fulfilled their needs and who is responsible for it. Children gave various answers for these question. Following which Ms. Nasim explained them the importance of food for our body. Input & Interaction Session On Indian Constitution 23.11.2017

The input session on the Indian Constitution and its importance was held at Church Hall, Pali on the 23 rd of November 2017 for 41 Bal Sansad children. The resource people for the session were CCO staffs Sr. Nisha, Ms. Carol and CSA staff Ms. Rasika. The session began with an ice breaker game. An introduction and basic information on the Preamble of the Indian Constitution was shared. Furthermore, the topic on election & representation was explained in a simple manner with adequate knowledge of who and where one can vote, what is the democracy procedure to elect a good responsible and sincere candidate. An interaction session was held with a set of questions being asked and exercises were given in order to help the children remember the important terms in the Preamble and ensure they understood the subject matter. Children took keen interest in preparing posters and charts during this activity. With the help of this session Bal Sansad learnt the importance of the Preamble
