Orientation on Livelihood Opportunities 28th July 2017

Exploring the possibilities of Livelihood with those who were eager to pursue and make their current livelihoods productive was the objective of the "Orientation on Livelihood Opportunities" Meeting planned by the Pali CCO.   On the 28th July three out of the eight members of the Livelihood group came for the first meeting.  Mr. Dayanand Patil from CSA asked the three participants the origin and history of their current livelihood. They expressed their tasks which were the routine activities. He then went on to share and orient them on the value and impact of Marketing on their current businesses. All the three participants expressed their desire to obtain more information and work at the process to enhance their current livelihoods and make it successful.  Since all the three participants have shown a keen interest to take their current livelihoods further. Creating Garbage Free - Clean Model Villages in Uttan - Survey the first step!

The Core Committee (CC) Members revisited the first Issue of Sanitation and Uncleanliness caused by Garbage in Uttan leading to unhygienic conditions affecting the health of locals. They also decided to review the second issue of Unavailability of Water in Uttan. They decided to collect sufficient information so as to then come up with clear steps of action to deal with these issues.   On the 17th and 24th July, the CC members along with the CCO Staff and SHG women visited two villages - Mothagaon and Devtalav and collected information through a survey format on information points concerning use of dustbins, their methods of garbage disposal, their access of water through taps, use of toilets in the house or in common places and their suggestions on the information sought. In Mothagaon 281 families and in Devtalav 108 families were surveyed.  As a result of this survey, the community has certainly grown in their knowledge of the issues and have expressed their interest in working
